What to check in your PIP

Read your personal plan alongside DUO letters and portal records. Check the route, level, agreed activities, dates, and who to contact when something needs correction.

Check the essentials

Look for your learning route, required language level, exam components, participation activities and agreed support. Make sure you understand who arranges each activity and how progress is recorded.

When your situation changes

Work, study, childcare, health and other circumstances can affect whether the plan is practical. Tell your municipality if a major change makes the schedule or activities difficult. Ask how to discuss a review or change; do not assume an informal conversation changes the official plan.

Keep your records together

Save the PIP and later decisions. Compare new letters with the plan and ask the municipality to explain any difference you cannot reconcile.

Turn the plan into a checklist

Write down each required exam or activity, the level, the responsible organisation, and the target date. Check that the plan reflects any exemption or approved change. If a requirement is unclear or your circumstances have changed, ask the municipal contact how to review it and request the answer in writing.
