How can we help?
Find your next step, understand how practice works, and check where to get official exam information.
Getting started
Which exam or level should I choose?
Your obligation depends on your personal situation. Check Mijn Inburgering and your municipal PIP, if you have one. Our exam overview helps you find practice, but choosing a level here does not change your official requirements.
I am new to Dutch. Where do I begin?
Start with the A1 materials and everyday words. Try a short activity, review the feedback, then return to a similar task. Move to another level when the work feels useful to you; there is no fixed timetable for everyone.
How often should I practise?
A short, repeatable routine is easier to keep than a rigid target. Mix reading or listening with speaking or writing, and revisit mistakes. The time you need depends on your starting point and circumstances.
Do I also need a language school?
That depends on how you learn and what your municipality requires. A teacher or conversation group can give you live speaking practice and personal feedback. Use these exercises as one part of your preparation.
Using the practice
Can I try the site for free?
Games, guides and language tools are free. Exam practice requires an account and active paid access to the selected exam. Courses shows which components and practice sets are available. Practice results are not an official exam result or a CEFR assessment.
Can I practise everyday Dutch here?
Yes. The free word games and language tools can help you revisit vocabulary and grammar outside exam preparation. Choose material that matches what you need in daily life.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Open the website in a browser on your phone, tablet or computer. You do not need to install an app. For speaking tasks, allow microphone access only when the browser asks for it.
Will my answers be graded?
Questions with a set answer show feedback for that task. Writing and speaking examples guide your own review; they do not receive an examiner grade. A sample result cannot establish your CEFR level or exam readiness.
Will my work be saved?
Account practice supports saved attempts. Wait for confirmation that your work is saved and follow any retry or recovery message before leaving. Free game results are not saved to your account. You can find available unfinished attempts from your account; access and expiry limits still apply.
Account and access
Do I need to sign in?
Use free games, guides and language tools without signing in. For exam practice, sign in with email and password or a provider available on the sign-in screen, and make sure you have active access to that exam.
Can I buy a subscription?
Check Courses for the offers currently available for your exam. If checkout is unavailable, you cannot buy access yet. Before paying, review the price, billing period, included access and terms. A pending payment does not grant access. Your account shows subscription status and available cancellation options.
Official exams
Where do I register or see my results?
Use the official Mijn Inburgering service for your exam registration, obligations and results. Our practice pages cannot book an exam or show your official result.
Does passing a practice task mean I will pass the exam?
No. Practice feedback describes only the task you completed. Use it to decide what to revisit, and rely on the official exam result for the outcome.
