Where to find official Dutch exam practice
Use official mock materials to learn the task format and controls. Then add fresh practice that targets the skill and level named in your personal requirement.
Start with the required exam
Check Mijn Inburgering or your personal integration plan. A1 abroad includes Reading, Speaking and knowledge of Dutch society. A2 includes language skills and, where required, KNM. State Exam NT2 offers Programme I at B1 and Programme II at B2, each with four components.
Open the official practice source
Use Naar Nederland for A1, DUO practice exams for A2 and KNM, and the State Exam NT2 practice environment for B1 or B2. A2 writing samples may be PDFs, so use pen and paper. NT2 mocks work best on a computer or laptop and show the general screen and task flow.
Understand the limits of mock exams
Practice materials are designed to familiarize you with question styles and controls; they do not promise the same questions as the live exam. Some mock tests are shorter than the real exam. NT2 official practice covers the four skills, but a sample alone cannot establish readiness or guarantee a pass.
Review and repeat with a purpose
After each attempt, classify mistakes by cause: misunderstanding the task, missing a detail, vocabulary, grammar or time management. Spend the next session on the weakest area, then return to a timed test later. For NT2 Reading and Writing, practise the approved paper dictionary rules as well as the content.
Choose the right device and conditions
Use headphones and a quiet setting for listening and speaking practice. Complete writing tasks on paper or computer according to the target exam. Build up to full timed sessions only after you understand each task type.
