NT2 State Exam results and resits

For Programme I or II, use the NT2 result service to see which components you passed. Resit registration follows a separate process from the A2 integration exams.

Check the scheduled result time

For a State Exam NT2 component, use the official schedule for Programma I (B1) or Programma II (B2). It lists the date when the result becomes available, usually from 15:00, and schedules can change. Sign in to Mijn DUO with DigiD to check the result; DUO also sends a message to the contact details used at registration. If you do not use DigiD, check your email and post.

Understand the score for each component

Reading, listening, writing, and speaking are assessed separately. A score of 500 or higher is a pass for that part; a lower score means you can plan another attempt after the result is available. The assessment method differs by skill: computer scoring is used for reading and listening, while trained assessors evaluate writing and speaking.

Book a resit for the part you still need

Wait for the result before registering again. Then select a new date for the failed component in the same programme through DUO. Passed parts remain passed, so you do not normally need to repeat them. Check the schedule for a suitable date and allow enough time for preparation and any integration deadline in your DUO letter or personal plan.

Keep proof of every passed part

A certificate or official extract can document a single passed component. When all four skills are complete, DUO issues the NT2 diploma for the programme that applies. If your passed parts are split between programmes, check the current diploma rules before assuming which certificate you will receive. Digital extracts are available through Mijn diploma’s for eligible records, and older results may need a separate request.

Save the result notice and any certificate or diploma. Before sending proof to an employer, school, or immigration authority, ask which document it accepts. If your address has changed, update DUO so letters and diploma delivery reach you.
