How do integration and employment figures compare?
Employment and completion figures can illuminate group patterns, but only when cohort and observation period are comparable. Read those definitions before comparing results.
Use a defined comparison
For the 2022 status-holder cohort, CBS reported that 22% of those living in a municipality for at least 24 months had a job by end-2025; among people following the B1 route, the figure was 26%.
Keep the limits visible
The B1-route group is not identical to all status holders, and an employment figure does not show job quality, hours or whether language study caused the outcome.
Compare like with like
Check how CBS defines employment, the number of months since housing, route and publication date. Do not directly compare percentages built from different populations.
Keep timing and comparison groups aligned
An employment share measured shortly after housing cannot be compared directly with one measured several years later. Check whether the table counts paid work, study, benefits, or people with a completed route, and whether it follows the same people over time. These measures describe association and do not by themselves show that one route caused an outcome.
