Who is included in the integration statistics?
Demographic tables cover particular groups and years, not every person integrating in the Netherlands. Check how the dataset defines its population.
Check the cohort
A cohort groups people by the year their integration obligation began. The 2022–2025 dashboard can show different counts as new records are added or definitions are updated.
Read categories in context
Tables may distinguish asylum migrants from family and other migrants, and show age, nationality, education or municipality. These categories describe administrative records, not an individual’s language ability.
Notice provisional and suppressed values
Some values are provisional or not shown separately where numbers are small. Read the notes before interpreting missing or rounded values as zero.
Check categories and missing data
Review how the table groups age, migration background, education, and residence status. Some categories may be unavailable, combined, or based on administrative records. Avoid comparing percentages when their population definitions or reporting dates differ, and do not treat group-level differences as explanations of an individual experience. Tables may use a different denominator in each column, so check totals and footnotes before reading a percentage as a share of all participants.
