Where to register for each Dutch integration exam

Start with your personal exam overview

Before choosing a date or paying, check the official record that lists your required exam parts and level. The registration portal depends on the exam: A1 abroad, A2 and knowledge exams, and the B1/B2 State Exam NT2 use different services. Participation activities arranged by a municipality are not ordinary language-exam bookings.

Use the correct booking service

For the A1 basic exam abroad, begin with the official registration instructions, pay, and then use the confirmation to arrange an appointment at the embassy, consulate, or approved provider serving your country. For A2 language exams and KNM, book through Mijn Inburgering. If you cannot use the portal, check whether DUO’s paper registration form applies. B1 and B2 candidates book the State Exam NT2 through Mijn DUO, using the published booking schedule.

ONA has its own process: prepare the portfolio and evidence, submit it, and then follow the route for either the 64-hour course or a final interview. The paper portfolio route may restrict which completion option is available. MAP and PVT appointments are arranged with your municipality, so contact it if those steps appear in your plan.

Check timing and change rules before confirming

Wait times, booking windows, payment options, and cancellation deadlines vary by exam. A2 appointments can have long waits, while NT2 registration follows a schedule. A1 changes may depend on the local exam venue. Read the provider’s current rules before paying and leave room before your integration deadline. A date or refund rule for one exam should not be assumed to apply to another.

Save the confirmation and prepare for the appointment

After booking, keep the confirmation, payment record, candidate number, and exam call letter. Verify the exact address, date, time, and identification instructions close to the exam. Keep your email and postal details current so an important message does not go to an old address. If you need to change the booking, contact the service listed for that exam before its deadline.
