Where Dutch integration exams take place

The location depends on the exam

The A1 basic exam is taken abroad at the embassy, consulate, or provider named for your country. A2 language and knowledge exams and the B1/B2 State Exam NT2 take place at DUO locations in the Netherlands. ONA may involve a course at an approved school or an interview at a DUO site. MAP and PVT are arranged with your municipality.

Choose the venue through the correct booking route

For A2 and KNM, use Mijn Inburgering to see available dates and places. NT2 candidates choose a city and date through the state-exam booking system. For A1 abroad, follow the confirmation instructions to arrange the embassy or consulate appointment; if no Dutch location is available in your country, check the nearest venue and whether travel permission is needed. An ONA portfolio submission is not itself a scheduled exam appointment.

Check the letter before planning your trip

Use the exact address in your exam call letter, even if a general location page shows an older address. Confirm the city, date, start time, and identity-document requirements shortly before travel. DUO exam sites may change, and available appointments can differ between cities. If you need an adapted exam, follow the adjustment process before booking because the approved venue or date may be different.

Leave room for check-in and travel problems

Plan the full route, including transfers and the walk from the station. Check parking and public transport rather than assuming the venue has parking. For central A2 or NT2 exams, allow the arrival time specified by the provider; arriving late may mean you cannot enter. If someone travels with you, check whether they can wait at the venue or need a meeting point nearby.

Before leaving, save the call letter offline and verify the address again. If the location in your portal and letter do not match, contact the exam service before travelling.
