Official A2 practice exams: choose a useful sequence

Choose the official mock that matches your A2 component. Use the outcome to decide what to review, while remembering it is practice rather than a formal result.

Check your required parts first

Find your exams in Mijn Inburgering or your personal integration plan. The 2013 or 2021 law and your route determine whether you need each part. Do not practise or book A2 solely because it is a common level.

Match the mock to the real format

DUO lists three paper-based Writing PDFs and three online mocks each for Speaking, Listening, Reading and KNM. Writing takes 40 minutes on paper. The other components use a computer; Speaking practice may require a browser other than Safari. DUO recommends practising on a desktop computer.

Practise in realistic conditions

For Writing, print the task and use a pen with a 40-minute timer. For Listening, use clear headphones or speakers. For Speaking, test the microphone and answer without restarting repeatedly. Complete timed mocks without pausing, then review errors after the attempt.

Use results to choose what to study

Group mistakes by component and cause: missed instruction, vocabulary, incorrect evidence, incomplete writing or unclear speech. Revisit the weakest skill with new material. A mock may not match the exact live exam content, and it cannot determine which components you need; your official plan and result notice do that.
