A flexible 30-day Dutch exam study plan

Use the month-long schedule as a flexible framework. Prioritise required parts, revisit errors, and adjust the pace to your exam date and weekly availability.

Days 1–7: learn the format and assess

Confirm your route and exam parts. Try one official sample for each required skill without stopping. Note the task type, timing and main difficulty. In the remaining sessions, practise short reading, listening, speaking or writing tasks at the right level.

Days 8–14: build core skills

Focus on one weak area each day. Review relevant vocabulary, practise a task and explain why an answer works. For speaking, record and listen back. For writing, check every point in the prompt. For KNM, connect a theme to the responsible service or next action.

Days 15–21: mix skills and add timing

Alternate the exam components and complete longer timed sets. Review mistakes before repeating a mock. Practise with fresh material so you test the skill rather than remember a previous answer.

Days 22–27: simulate the exam

Use official practice in realistic conditions and on the device required. Follow the correct time limits. Identify recurring errors and focus on those instead of adding new material.

Days 28–30: review and prepare

Revisit notes, check your appointment details and plan travel. Avoid an exhausting last-minute study session. Follow the exam call letter for what to bring and when to arrive.
